Cacaoté, Senopati

Went here for a an early Valentine brunch with my girl friends. Actually going here wasn't really planned as we wanted to go to other restaurant. However everything went well and we have no regret going here. Cacacoté isn't just a place for teatime or deserts but dining as well. From the interior, Cacaoté has a classical concept. The ambiance creates a high class or well behaved atmosphere. Really admire the interior for this place!

In total we ordered 5 dish so let's talk about it one by one. 
Pan-roasted Chicken (115k) is the dish that i chose for that day, it consists of pipérade puree, baby vegetables, soft quail eggs and chicken jus. The overall taste was good but somehow for me it was kinda dry. The Lobster mac n' cheese (110k) was da bomb! It consists of baby lobster, emmental cheese and grana padano. The richness of the cheesy cream was amazing! The next dish was Salmon (155k), for this one it was standard. The salmon was pan seared and there's white clams, braised fennel, sautéed spinach and chives beurre blanc. The oxtail pappardelle (105k) was another special dish from them, it has small chunks of oxtail and short rib ragoût. The last dish was spaghetti carbonara (95k) which consists of gorgonzola cream, candied walnut, beef bacon and crouton. This dish was rather standard, i'd like to say that Pancious does a better job!




Now it's the dessert.










I totally forgot their names, pardon me for that. But mine was the chocolate cake which tasted a bit bitter but I liked it. The price of the cakes is ranging from about 40k which in my opinion was okay!

Bistro Garcon, Plaza Senayan.

My family and I went here for our Christmas dinner, this is unplanned because actually we wanted to have dinner at Union but because of the long queue we decided to try this bistro. The concept was pretty much the same as Union. The dishes here were mostly French cuisine and the patisseries too. I ordered Roast Chicken with champignon and porcini risotto. It was super delicious! It reminds me of the roar chicken that I had at Jamie Oliver's. For this dish it costs for around Rp 128,000,00.- but it was worth it. I tried the Norwegian salmon which tasted standard, there's nothing special to it. This dish costs Rp 198,000,00.- I also tried the spaghetti meatballs with marinara sauce, this dish was great. It costs around Rp 80,000,00.- I also ordered the Wagyu Burger which was amazingly good! The meat was so tender and juicy, it costs around Rp 180,000,00.- but every bite is like heaven! I really recommend this place if you wish to have a french dining.

Puncak Pass Resort, Cipanas.

After a long trip at Bandung, I went all the way here to try out their famous poffertjes. I arrived there at around 9 p.m. The atmosphere was amazing, the wind was breezing and it left a cool chill on my skin. The atmosphere of the restaurant was crowded (because its holiday season) there was a live music and everyone was just enjoying their moments. Ok back to the topic which is the Poffertjes, before that I ever tried poffertjes at Rumah Stroberi in Bandung, the dough was dry and the flavour wasn't really there. But the poffertjes of Puncak Pass Resort was for sure better than the Rumah Stroberi, the texture was smooth and chewy, a little of strawberry jam did make the final taste a more sophisticated one. A really recommended dish! Apart from poffertjes, I also tried their cream soup, the taste was rather similar as the packaging cream soup. For the drink, I had hot chocolate which is too bitter and not creamy at all. (I should have chose the ovomaltine one). The poffertjes costs Rp 40,000,00.- , the cream soup costs Rp 38,000,00.- (if I'm not mistaken) , the hot cocoa costs for Rp 25,000,00.-
